Job Description:

FinXL is partnering with a major brand to deliver a critical compute refresh across two key sites. We are seeking a hands-on Cisco Network Engineer to lead the physical deployment and migration of a modern infrastructure stack. This initiative involves a dual-site deployment (Hobart and Launceston) consisting of 3 Cisco compute nodes per site integrated with Nutanix storage. You will be the technical lead responsible for transitioning approximately 140 VMs to the new platform.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage the end-to-end rack-mounting, precision cabling, and power integration for the Cisco/Nutanix stack
  • Perform the initial configuration and lead the hypervisor migration for 140 virtual machines
  • Develop comprehensive "As-built" documentation, provide technical training to local teams, and manage the formal project handover
  • Maintain high-level timelines and project roadmaps to ensure milestones are met across both sites

Requirements:

  • Deep technical knowledge of Cisco compute nodes and networking infrastructure
  • Proven experience with Nutanix storage solutions and virtualized environments
  • Based in Hobart or Launceston, or fully prepared to relocate/travel between these sites for the duration of the contract
  • Ready to commence a 3-month initial engagement
