Job Description:

The Cisco IPT L3 Engineer will be responsible for managing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Cisco IP Telephony (IPT) infrastructure. This includes expertise in Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, Webex, Voice Gateways, and Session Border Controllers (SBC). The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Cisco voice technologies, network protocols, and VoIP troubleshooting, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of the IPT systems.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage and maintain Cisco Unified Communications platforms including CUCM, CUC, Webex, and IM&P
  • Perform troubleshooting and resolution of IPT related issues, including SIP, H.323, MGCP, and SCCP protocols
  • Monitor and analyze network performance and voice quality metrics to ensure optimal service delivery
  • Implement and maintain network analytics tools to proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and implement new voice solutions and enhancements
  • Document configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and compliance
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members
  • Stay updated with the latest Cisco technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10 15 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco IPT technologies
  • Proven track record of managing complex IPT environments
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Cisco Voice Gateways and SBC configuration
  • Familiarity with cloud based communication solutions
  • Knowledge of security protocols related to voice communications
  • Certifications such as CCNP Collaboration or CCIE Collaboration
