Job Description:

CIB Portfolio Manager role in Fund Finance team within CIB's Banking group, providing financing to private equity funds and asset managers through structured and syndicated credit facilities. Involves developing credit understanding of clients and collateral, preparing credit review and underwriting documents, working as active deal team member from India while collaborating with teams in US and UK.

Job Responsibility:

Participate in monitoring, documenting, underwriting, and reacting to the credit quality of an assigned portfolio of loans
Identify opportunities for process improvements
Review and analyze business, operational, or technical assignments
Exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables
Present recommendations for resolving complex situations
Collaborate and consult with functional colleagues, internal partners and stakeholders
Work as a deal team member aiding FFG clients
Preparation and review of 20-30 pager credit papers covering analysis of clients, deal structure, and underlying collateral
Financial analysis review and risk assessment of investors
Review ongoing client reporting for completeness & accuracy
Understand legal documentation and infer legal opinion
Maintain various databases and spreadsheets for internal reporting
Track and report on financial trends of borrowers and underlying collateral

Requirements:

2+ years of CIB Portfolio Management experience or equivalent
At least an MBA or a CA, or an equivalent qualification
2+ years of experience in credit analysis, corporate lending or structured finance in either a bank or rating agency
Experience in writing detailed credit memos/papers is desirable
Strong communication skills – both verbal and written
Basic to Advanced excel skills
Basic understanding of legal terms used in Banking
Must be able to work in a fast paced production environment
Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
High level of personal motivation, strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work across continents

Nice to have:

Experience in writing detailed credit memos/papers
Advanced excel skills
Experience working with international teams across US and UK
