The Cybersecurity function is responsible for enabling businesses and functions to manage their information security and cybersecurity risks as well as ensuring risk and controls are assessed and implemented appropriately, objectively and independently through professional and specialized subject matter experts. The CIB Cyber Control BI Managers will support the Cyber Business Integration Lead, and together will support the GBGF-aligned Cybersecurity function. The role is part of the 1st line of defense (1LOD).
Job Responsibility:
Primary point of contact for specific cyber control integration with the respective business or region
Determines the cyber control priorities based on customer and growth strategies of the business and functions and provide input to global cyber initiatives that can meet those requirements
Liase with market stakeholders and country Cybersecurity leads to consolidate country control requirements, partnering with CCO Tech, and feed into the annual planning cycles and help form Cyber’s strategic direction
Provide cybersecurity advice and input into the business initiatives for the GB/GF/Region to ensure compliance with cybersecurity controls and effective security management relating to business initiatives
Proactively identify and clear potential roadblocks that could impact core business projects. Work with relevant technology teams to ensure appropriate prioritization and ownership, escalating any operational challenges for resolution
Maximize cyber resource alignment to business priorities
Work collaboratively with cybersecurity Architecture and Engineering teams to ensure that business led transformation initiatives follow the right principles in relation to cybersecurity architecture, design and engineering
Support the Cyber Business Integration Lead and CISOs in various business risk forums IT RCMM’s/CEMM’s RMM’s as control experts to provide overviews and updates
Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor Degree and/or experience in IT delivery preferably in the Financial Services industry
Good understanding of HSBC cyber security principles
Confident and takes responsibility and ownership for work and personal development
Excellent spoken and written communication and ability to adapt style based on audience (Fluent in spoken / written English)
Ability to communicate technical subject matter to non-technical stakeholders
Ability to develop good working relationships with stakeholders
Ability and self motivation to learn and pick things up quickly
Proven ability and experience of working in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
Nice to have:
Qualifications – desirable but NOT essential one or more industry-recognised cybersecurity-related certifications including ISO270001, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC
