Job Description:

As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of our National Distribution Centres. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement across warehousing and transport functions. In the absence of the GM you will assume full responsibility for the site.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead daily operations to meet all KPIs and service levels
  • Ensure transport operations meet DVSA regulations
  • Act as GM when required
  • Drive team productivity and ensure accurate shift reporting
  • Monitor staff productivity and shift performance
  • Ensure adherence to WMS procedure
  • Ensure staffing levels are achieved and kept within budget
  • Conduct stock investigations and maintain hygiene and housekeeping standards

Requirements:

  • Experience gained within a warehouse / wholesale environment
  • Sound knowledge of health, safety and retail compliance legislation
  • Exceptional planning skills and the ability to manage and prioritise various tasks
  • Strong time management skills
  • Experience of delivering both excellent Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction results
