Job Description:

Support Worker role empowering individuals to achieve their goals and live the life that they choose. Make a difference everyday to children living in Residential Care. Join as a Human Rights warrior to empower people with disabilities and young individuals through tailored, person-centred support.

Job Responsibility:

Deliver high-quality, individualised support to people with disabilities and young people
Assist with personal care, mobility, and skill development
Build meaningful connections and provide mentorship and emotional support
Support community participation and recreational activities
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement support plans
Advocate for customer rights and promote independence
Create safe, trauma-informed environments for young people with complex needs
Work across 24/7 rotating roster including sleepovers, active nights, weekends, and public holidays

Requirements:

Certificate IV in Disability or Child, Youth & Family Intervention (or willingness to obtain)
Current First Aid certification
Current CPR certification
Current Drivers licence
NDIS Worker check or willingness to obtain
Availability for 24/7 rostered shifts
Passionate about human rights and creating positive change
Empathetic, compassionate, and resilient
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice to have:

No experience required
Candidates with disability encouraged to apply
Lived experience as asset
