Job Description:

Kisimul provides residential care, supported living and education services for people who are autistic, have a learning disability, and may have a range of associated complex needs. Job Responsibility:

  • Support the induction and continued professional development of Kisimul colleagues
  • Involved in the planning and delivery of a range of training packages (e.g., autism and learning disability, trauma informed practice, BILD certified course for behaviour support)
  • Direct support in services, modelling approaches, supporting reflective practice
  • Provide coaching and mentoring opportunities for colleagues

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training or completed a PTLLS/DTLLS course
  • A teaching qualification
  • Train the Trainer course
  • Other qualifications relevant to health and social care, education or positive behaviour support are desirable but not essential

  • Support the Registered Managers to develop further the culture of a trauma-informed approach, across all our Children's support services
  • Keep up to date with, and disseminate information about, relevant developments in the field of research and policy in relation to the needs of vulnerable children and young people
