Requirements

Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent or working towards
Valid Australian full driver’s licence, for the state you have applied for
Valid Australian working rights
Willingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check
Hold (or are willing to obtain) a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications
Availability to work any rostered shifts across a 24/7 roster model, including awake nights and sleepovers

You will have resilience to work within a trauma-informed framework that makes a real difference with young people who have complex needs and challenging behaviours

Requirements

Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent or working towards
Hold current or willingness to obtain relevant regulatory requirements (as per role and/or State)

Job Responsibility

Requirements

Providing the young people with emotional and social support, helping them to develop meaningful relationships with other children and adults, as well as encouraging them to become involved with local communities
Carry out domestic duties within the home, involving the children and young people where appropriate and plan, shop and prepare meals, ensuring they have a varied and well balanced diet
Promoting, safeguarding and protecting the welfare of our young people
Encouraging the development of individual interests of our young people
A desire to learn, we provide full training for you to achieve a Childcare Diploma
Experience of supporting young people who may be vulnerable is desired but not essential
Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check at enhanced level
