Children's Swim Instructor and Lifeguard

• Teaches swim lessons to children using Goldfish Swim School's proven, award-wininng curriculum
• Coaches, motivates and supports children who are learning to swim
• Provides continuous feedback to Deck Supervisors on swimmer progress and completes quarterly evaluations for students
• Uses problem solving/creative thinking skills to identify and resolve challenges that students encounter.
• Develops positive relationships with swimmers and families
• Ensures swimmer safety at all times
• Sets up, organizes and puts away lesson equipment
• Attends staff meetings, trainings and in-services as scheduled
• Follows all Goldfish policies, rules and regulations including emergency and safety procedures

• Must be at least 15 years old
• Ability to instruct swimming lessons (40 hours of paid training is provided.)
• Knowledge of swim strokes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated team player with the desire to continuously improve through positive feedback and coaching
• Available to work weekends
• Must pass background check

Lifeguard certification is a plus (Goldfish certifies employees on-site and provides a $100 certification bonus.)
