Children's Support Worker

• Working as part of an established staff team to delivery best quality care and support
• Encouraging engagement with education and extra-curricular activities
• Promoting positive and healthy relationships
• Engaging the young people in social activities
• Maintaining and completing paperwork in a timely manner
• Acting as a positive role model

• At least 6 months paid experience working in a children's residential setting
• Willing to undergo additional training if required to meet the needs of the service
• Experience with de-escalation and with behaviours that can challenge
• Be flexible in your working approach and hours
• Act as a positive role model for the young people
• Maintain a high standard of report writing and other paperwork required
• Be confident in yourself to challenge behaviour when required
• Support and encourage education and the further development of the young people to ensure they have the skills to live independently
• Attend meetings and training when required
• Have a full UK driving license and access to your own transport

Level 3 children and young people qualification (desirable)
