Requirements

Minimum 6 months of experience supporting children and young people with complex needs
A full UK driving licence & access to a vehicle is ideal but not necessary
An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) & Social Care Wales registration (or equivalent)
Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred but not essential)

Job Responsibility

Supervision & Support: Provide structured, person-centred care in a safe and nurturing residential setting
Managing Behaviours: Support young people facing emotional distress, verbal or physical aggression, and complex trauma histories
Safeguarding & Risk Management: Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns while ensuring a secure and supportive environment
Encouraging Independence: Help young people develop life skills, access education, and engage in social activities
Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic support
Accurate Record-Keeping: Maintain clear, professional reports in line with regulatory and compliance standards
