Job Description:

Permanent Children’s Social Workers – Safeguarding & Child Protection. Join Oldham’s Safeguarding & Child Protection Team and become part of a service committed to stability, development, and growing our own talent. We are strengthening our permanent workforce and reducing agency reliance, with 17 posts available. Job Responsibility:

  • Manage a varied caseload
  • Undertake assessments
  • Develop and review Care & Support Plans
  • Deliver meaningful interventions that improve outcomes for children, young people, and families
  • Assess need and risk, including complex and crisis situations
  • Develop, deliver, and review effective care plans
  • Prepare reports and represent the local authority in court and multi-agency forums
  • Build strong partnerships with health, education, and voluntary agencies
  • Champion safeguarding practice and promote positive change

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • At least 2 years’ post-qualification experience
  • Safeguarding/Child Protection experience is ideal
  • Relevant backgrounds such as Assessment & Intervention are also welcome
