Are you a passionate and committed Children's Social Worker looking for your next opportunity within a supportive and forward-thinking local authority? We are currently recruiting for experienced Locum Social Workers to join the Safeguarding & Planning Fieldwork Teams in Oldham. This is an excellent opportunity to work within well-established Long Term Teams supporting children and families through safeguarding processes and care proceedings.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver high-quality safeguarding and planning interventions
  • Manage a varied caseload within long-term child protection and court work
  • Build effective relationships with children, families, and partner agencies
  • Undertake assessments, care planning, and statutory visits
  • Contribute to positive outcomes for children and young people

Requirements:

  • Recognised Diploma / Degree in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Experience within children's safeguarding / long-term teams
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment
