Job Description

Are you a passionate and experienced Social Worker ready to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people? Bradford Council is looking for a dedicated Children in Care Social Worker to join our team and support some of the most vulnerable children in the community.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage a caseload of looked-after children
  • Develop, implement, and review care and permanence plans
  • Attend and contribute to statutory reviews, PEPs, and court proceedings
  • Work in partnership with carers, families, and other professionals
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with statutory guidelines and best practices

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Experience in children's social care, ideally within a Children in Care or Looked After Children team
  • Strong understanding of the Children Act, safeguarding frameworks, and care planning processes
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Commitment to trauma-informed and child-centred practice
