Bradford Children and Families Trust is seeking experienced and committed Social Workers to join the South Locality Duty and Assessment Teams. Job Responsibility
undertake timely assessments
respond to safeguarding concerns
work collaboratively with families and partner agencies to identify risks, strengths and appropriate interventions
manage a varied caseload involving: Child Protection enquiries and investigations
Child in Need assessments and planning
Public Law Outline (PLO) and Pre-Proceedings work
Court work and Public Care Proceedings
Emergency safeguarding interventions
Multi-agency decision-making and partnership working
Direct work with children, young people, and families
Permanence planning from the earliest stage of involvement
work proactively and efficiently
ensuring that children receive the right support at the right time while maintaining high professional standards and robust safeguarding practice
Requirements
Hold a recognised Social Work qualification
Are registered with Social Work England
Have post-qualification experience within Children's Services
Have experience working within Duty and Assessment, Safeguarding, Child Protection or Front Door services
Possess strong assessment, analytical and decision-making skills
Have experience of Public Proceedings, Pre-Proceedings, Child Protection and Child in Need processes
Can manage complex cases and competing priorities effectively
Are committed to restorative and relational approaches to social work
Demonstrate excellent communication and partnership-working skills
Remain focused on achieving positive outcomes for children and families
