Alei Tzion Synagogue is seeking confident, engaging and enthusiastic Children’s Service Leaders (18+) to run our vibrant Shabbat and Yom Tov services for Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a high‑profile, community‑facing role where you will help shape children’s earliest experiences of tefillah, learning, belonging and Jewish identity. You will be working on an As and When basis as part of a team.
Job Responsibility:
Create fun, inspiring and age‑appropriate Shabbat and Yom Tov experiences
Bring Judaism alive through songs, stories, parasha discussions, games and creative activities
Build warm and lasting relationships with children and their families
Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive and caring community culture
Requirements:
Warm, friendly and confident working with groups of children
Knowledgeable about Shabbat services, Jewish festivals and the Jewish calendar
Reliable, responsible and able to engage children of different ages
Creative, energetic and enthusiastic about community life
Experienced working with children (preferred but not essential)
