Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Registered Residential Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential facility for children. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and development of young residents. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for childcare and supporting children’s needs. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while managing a dedicated team of staff.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage the residential team to deliver high-quality care
  • Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans
  • Ensure the safety, health, and emotional well-being of all children
  • Foster positive relationships with children, families, social workers, and external agencies
  • Oversee daily routines including educational activities, leisure pursuits, and behavioural management
  • Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, incidents, and care plans
  • Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and supervise team performance
  • Drive organisational initiatives aimed at continuous improvement
  • Ensure all legal and safeguarding procedures are adhered to

Requirements

  • Proven experience working with children in a residential or childcare setting
  • Previous management or supervisory experience within a childcare or social care environment is desirable
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and care planning processes
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
  • Valid driving licence is preferred
