We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children’s Registered Residential Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential facility for children. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and development of young residents. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for childcare and supporting children’s needs. Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage the residential team to deliver high-quality care
Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans
Ensure the safety, health, and emotional well-being of all children
Foster positive relationships with children, families, social workers, and external agencies
Oversee daily routines including educational activities, leisure pursuits, and behavioural management
Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, incidents, and care plans
Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and supervise team performance
Drive organisational initiatives aimed at continuous improvement
Ensure all legal and safeguarding procedures are adhered to
Requirements:
Proven experience working with children in a residential or childcare setting
Previous management or supervisory experience within a childcare or social care environment is desirable
Strong understanding of child development principles and care planning processes
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Competence in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes
