RESIDENTIAL SUPPORT WORKER - CHILDREN'S HOME Pay: £13.40 per hour Location: Bristol Support young people aged 10-17 living in residential care, helping them feel safe, supported and able to reach their full potential. ROLE SUMMARY Provide practical, emotional and behavioural support to young people. Act as a positive role model and build warm, trusting relationships. Follow care plans, update records and contribute to reviews and meetings. Support daily routines including cooking, cleaning and household tasks. Help young people develop confidence, self‑control and life skills. Offer 1:1 support, advocacy and guidance during times of stress or difficulty. Encourage education, activities, community involvement and healthy routines. Work collaboratively within the staff team and attend team meetings. Maintain safeguarding, equal opportunities and professional standards at all times. REQUIREMENTS Ability to work shifts including early/late shifts, weekends, sleep‑ins and on‑call. Willingness to adapt to rota changes when required. Full participation in training, supervision and team development. Drivers Licence. Enhanced DBS required. GENERAL DUTIES Keep accurate written records and financial logs. Support colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture. Follow all policies, procedures, health & safety and safeguarding guidelines. Engage with external agencies and support services when needed.
