Job Description:

At Prosperity Children’s Services we provide care for vulnerable children and young people across the Lancashire and Greater Manchester area. Our children and young people receive support from a small team of incredible Registered Managers and Support Workers who strive to engage, motivate, and instill confidence and life skills aiming for the best possible outcomes for our children and young people.

Job Responsibility:

  • Register, develop and oversee a home within the rural Accrington and Rochdale
  • Build, develop and support their team and provide a caring and nurturing environment for the children
  • Have full autonomy of your home
  • Be integral to the smooth running of daily life within your home, enabling young people to thrive
  • Inspire and lead your team to run a warm and friendly home, providing a safe and supportive environment
  • Achieve compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and ensure your home is always able to evidence a high standard of care and quality
  • Be responsible for the organisation of work patterns, facilitation of training, and the access of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within your homes
  • Lead by example in ensuring a therapeutic approach is taken to meet the needs of the children

Requirements:

  • NVQ/QCF level 3 Diploma in Children’s and Young People’s Workforce or QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and management (Residential Childcare)
  • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of managing an Ofsted home that carries a rating of good or above
  • Have experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviors including mental health and behavioral problems
  • Full UK Driving license
  • Excellent knowledge of current legislations The Children’s Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, the Children’s Act 1989, Children Act 2004 alongside all other legislations that are relevant to residential children’s homes
