We have an exciting opportunity to join our great team at The Lighthouse in Raynes Park, a residential home which provides care for 8 children with autism and learning disabilities. We have been an Ofsted Outstanding home since 2016, something we are very proud of. As a House Manager you will work alongside the Registered Manager and have a big input into the running of our service, where the focus is always set on achieving outstanding outcomes for the children we support. We are looking for an ambitious person whose ethos aligns with ours; creating environments that are tailored to be both supportive and empowering to the children and our team who support them. This role has room for progression as we are in the process of growing our services and seeking to develop new registered managers.
Job Responsibility:
Meeting regulations, company policy and health and safety requirements for a registered children’s home
Leading a successful staff team and all day to day operations of the home
Ensuring the highest standards of care in relation to the children's physical, behavioural and emotional needs (including personal care)
Supporting young people to achieve outstanding outcomes
To engage in their favourite things and try new activities at home and also outdoor activities
These include swimming and going on annual vacation
Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma or NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce
2 years experience working as deputy manager in a children’s residential care (desirable)
Minimum 3 years or more of experience working as a Senior or Team Leader in children’s residential care and 6 years of working in a similar support environment
Good understanding of the children’s home regulations
Good written and spoken English
Good computer skills
Experience and ability to work with a range of young people’s needs including moderate to severe learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour
Experience of working with external professional and holding multidisciplinary meetings at all levels
Experience of leading safeguarding
