The Lighthouse Children's Home provides care for children with autism and learning disabilities and is based in Raynes Park, SW London. Built on a culture of respect and fun, we are a family-run business now looking to welcome some fresh faces to our tight-knit team. The home is rated as Outstanding by Ofsted. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a Care Home Administrator to support the Registered Manager with all day-to-day administration of the home. This role would suit someone who can multitask, has great attention to detail and is organised beyond belief!

Job Responsibility:

  • Purchasing responsibilities include ordering supplies, goods and services, receipting stock and deliveries
  • Accountable for the reconciliation of receipts
  • Ensure the training compliance is accurate and updated
  • arranging both e-learning and face to face training with the company provider for all employees
  • Diary management – Creating memos, scheduling meetings, sending emails and reminders
  • Administration filing and archiving
  • Manage invoicing relating to the young people
  • Taking notes / minutes at any meetings
  • Maintaining the Health and safety folder, audits for the home and coordinate and arrange any maintenance necessary
  • Oversee the recruitment system alongside the Registered Manager
  • Oversee the annual leave requests for the team alongside the Registered Manager
  • Complete auditing of employee and young people’s file to ensure information is relevant and up to date

  • Be responsible for reporting regularly on the residential homes to ensure that they fulfil the Statement of Purpose, and function and are run in accordance with statute policies, guidelines and instructions
  • Ensure compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 (including the quality standards) and Regulation 44 inspections
  • Ensure the children's home's manager is fully prepared and ready for regular Ofsted inspections
  • To provide regular formal and informal supervision and management of the manager, encouraging professional development, completing and identifying training and staff development needs to ensure objectives are met
