Job Description:

Are you motivated, enthusiastic and keen to learn new skills? If so this role may be for you. We are looking for an experienced childrens nurse who is passionate about nursing children in their own homes and the wider community setting.

Job Responsibility:

  • To assist in providing a Childrens Community Nursing Service to children in all the community settings, including education.
  • This service will deliver care to children and young people with either complex needs or who need a timely telephone/ face to face review after discharge from the Childrens Ward / Childrens Emergency Department/Childrens Assessment Unit.
  • To actively take part in the development of the childrens community nursing team.

Requirements:

  • Significant current experience in a paediatric area
  • RSCN/RN (Child)
  • ENB 998 or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Childrens Community Nursing degree (or willing to undertake)
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Willing to undertake further professional development
  • Knowledge of current issues relating to the Health Service and specialist area of practice
  • Self-motivated
  • Knowledge of risk management
  • Knowledge of health and safety
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
