Job Description:

As a Children’s Activity Area Associate at IKEA, you will contribute to creating a safe and welcoming environment for children visiting our play facility, register and entertain children, plan and execute fun activities, and assist in customer experience roles such as cashier and greeter when necessary. This role requires someone who loves working with children aged 3-10 and has open availability on weekends.

Job Responsibility:

Contribute to creating a pleasant and safe environment for the children that visit our play facility
Register children, monitor and entertain children while in the playroom, and maintain a clean and hygienic environment
Participate in the planning and execution of children’s activities both in and outside of Småland
Build meaningful and empathetic relationships with children and their caretakers
Strictly adhere to all IKEA play facility and safety & security policy and procedures
Support in other areas of the customer experience function as needed, such as cashier and greeter role to provide additional coverage when needed

Requirements:

Experience in retail or childcare preferred
CPR and First Aid certification training provided
Physical Demands: Lifting and Carrying Occasionally (1-25lbs)
Person needs to open availability on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
Person needs to be good with children from ages 3-10
