Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for Advanced Practitioners to join our Children & Families team in the Forest of Dean and Stroud. Forest of Dean- 18.5 hours- permanent. Stroud- 37 hours- permanent.

Job Responsibility:

  • Hold an expert and influential role within the team
  • Support development and delivery of high-quality, complex social work practice
  • Model relational systemic practice approach
  • Provide direction and constructive challenge to team members
  • Quality assure assessments
  • Undertake joint visits
  • Support reflective discussion on practice
  • Contribute to professional oversight
  • Offer guidance, mentoring and support to social workers
  • Provide Newly Qualified Social Workers with monthly reflective supervision
  • Support learning and development of Social Work students
  • Jointly lead on a specific area of practice
  • Work closely with the Social Work Academy
  • Hold a small number of cases

Requirements:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Experience at Senior Social Worker level
  • Recognised qualification in Social Work
  • Completed ASYE year (if qualified after 2012)
  • Full driving licence and willingness to drive
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (Enhanced Adults and Children's)

  • Maintain timely, complete and detailed records of patients’ personal health information in the electronic medical records system and keep such information confidential in accordance with legal requirements
  • Keep abreast of developments in nursing, medicine and regulatory processes and payer systems such as Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and private sources, maintaining competence in clinical practice with participation in continuing educational experiences and maintenance of Basic Life Support certification
  • Perform all services in compliance with the most current, accepted professional standards and the standards of the Joint Commission
