Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced childcare lawyer to support a busy legal services team, managing a varied caseload of public law childcare matters. The role offers fully remote working, with the exception of court advocacy, alongside a highly competitive hourly rate and ASAP start.

Job Responsibility:

  • Managing a full caseload of public law childcare matters, including care proceedings
  • Conducting legal research, drafting court documents, and providing legal advice
  • Representing the authority in court and undertaking advocacy when required

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister or Legal Executive with practicing rights
  • Strong background working within a Local Authority legal setting
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision
  • Confident advocate with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Public sector experience
  • Ability to start at short notice
