Childcare Solicitor

• Managing your own caseload of child care matters
• Undertaking your own advocacy where appropriate
• Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, trainees, and caseworkers
• Providing technical guidance and support to team members on complex matters
• Contributing to the delivery of training and continued professional development within the department
• Engaging in business development activities and promoting the firm’s family services through marketing and networking initiatives

• Qualified Solicitor with between NQ and 3 years’ PQE in Child Care Law
• Solid experience handling both public and private children law matters
• Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable
• Confident advocate with experience representing clients in court (preferred but not essential)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and document management abilities
• Commercially aware and proactive in seeking out new business opportunities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with legal case management systems
• A valid, clean practising certificate is essential
