Job Description:

Do you love cooking and meal preparation? Have you considered using your skills within a childcare environment? We have Cook roles available now across Golden Grove and surrounding suburbs. A huge benefit of working as a cook / chef, within the childcare industry is no weekend work or late night shifts. You will need to be confident in working alone and preparing up to 3 meals per day for a large number of children. In addition to cooking, your knowledge may be required in aspects of menu planning and nutrition guidance. Choose when and how you work, managing your schedule via our app. We work with providers who are extensively screened, match our people values. Job Responsibility:

  • Cooking and meal preparation
  • Preparing up to 3 meals per day for a large number of children

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent (highly desirable)
  • Experience cooking in childcare, aged care or hospitals will be well regarded
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate
  • Allergen aware as well as commitment to meet dietary, cultural and nutritional needs of children
  • Available a minimum of 2 shifts per week
  • Willingness to travel to different locations around your area
  • Australian work rights and a willingness to gain your state based Working with Children Card
  • Possession of a First Aid certificate is highly regarded by some of our clients
  • Committed to Child Safeguarding and understanding of Mandatory Reporting responsibilities
  • Able to provide contact details of two professional referees who have managed you and can speak to your work
  • Willingness to undertake National Child Safety training

Nice to have:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

  • Possession of a First Aid certificate
