Are you a dedicated Child Protection Chair/Independent Reviewing Officer looking for an impactful part-time role in safeguarding children? We are seeking experienced professionals to join our team on a contract basis, providing vital leadership in child protection conferences and quality assurance activities. Job Responsibility:
Chair child protection conferences, ensuring the voice of the child remains central to safeguarding arrangements
Quality assure care planning to ensure it reflects each child's wishes and feelings
Contribute to service and directorate-wide quality assurance activities to support continuous improvement
Attend all review meetings and conferences in person, ensuring consistent leadership and oversight
Travel approximately 2.5 days per week to attend meetings at designated locations
Support learning and development initiatives across the team through active participation in quality assurance processes
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Children’s Guardian, Child Protection Chair, or Independent Reviewing Officer
Strong understanding of child protection procedures and statutory guidance
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Ability to attend in person at meetings and conferences
Resident locally preferred to facilitate effective travel arrangements
