The Child Protection Technical Advisor supports the quality, consistency and integration of child protection programming across PIN Country Programmes. Based within PIN´s HQ Programme Strategy and Impact Department (PSI), the Advisor works collaboratively with other technical advisors and Country Programme (CP) teams to strengthen programme quality and promote safe, equitable, inclusive and accountable programming. The Child Protection Advisor will be part of PIN Protection, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) team and will work under the supervision of the Protection and GESI Lead Advisor. The Advisor will contribute to strengthening PIN´s child protection programming across Country Programmes. The role works in close coordination with the Education in Emergencies (EiE) team and contributes to PIN´s flagship integrated programming combining EiE, MHPSS and Child Protection.
Job Responsibility
Provide technical support to ensure the integration and operationalisation of child protection, protection mainstreaming and GESI across all stages of the Programme Cycle Management
Support Country Programmes in the design and implementation of integrated child protection interventions, including case management, community-based child protection, and prevention and response to violence against children
Support Country Programmes in assessing and establishing partnerships with specialised protection actors
Contribute to the development, adaptation and operationalisation of relevant tools and approaches related to child protection and ProGESI
Design and deliver trainings on child protection, protection mainstreaming and GESI
Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience, with a strong focus on Child Protection programming in humanitarian and/or development contexts
Proven experience combining field-level implementation and technical advisory roles in Child Protection
Advanced degree in Human Rights, International Law, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, International Development, or a related field
Written and oral proficiency in English is required
Strong analytical, organisational, communication and diplomacy skills
Demonstrated experience providing technical guidance, capacity strengthening and quality assurance to multiple programmes or country teams
Nice to have
French and/or Arabic is an asset
