Job Description:

We are looking for a Children Social Care Practitioner, who have the child's voice at the heart of everything they do and are committed to working with families, alongside our qualified Social Workers, in a way that is collaborative and relational at every step. Our Assessment Teams are a rewarding but fast-paced environment to work in. We are committed to ensuring that children, young people and families in our community receive a positive and timely service, proportionate to their needs and informed by their own expertise. The work is rich, varied and allows for a high level of multi-agency working, often to tight timelines. Job Responsibility:

  • Work with families, alongside qualified Social Workers, in a collaborative and relational way
  • Contribute to Service development
  • Offer support to social workers and the Team Manager
  • Work within Assessment Teams to ensure children, young people and families receive a positive and timely service
  • Engage in multi-agency working

Requirements:

  • Ability to work from a variety of locations and travel countywide independently
  • Relevant experience and understanding of the structures and frameworks underpinning social work practice
  • Demonstrable background of working with children and families to support their needs
