The Families First Team plays a key role within Children’s Services, undertaking all initial assessments, duty responsibilities, and Child in Need (CIN) planning and intervention work. The team works closely with families at an early stage to provide support, reduce risk, and improve outcomes for children and young people. • Engaging directly with children and families to assess needs, reduce risk, and promote positive outcomes
  • Ensuring accurate and timely case recording in line with local authority standards

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration
  • Minimum 3 years’ permanent post-qualified experience within children’s services
  • Strong experience within Child in Need, assessment, and safeguarding work
  • Excellent communication, assessment, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively under pressure
