Job Description:

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an experienced Child in Need Social Worker to join Trafford Council on a permanent basis. In this role, you will work within the Child in Need team, supporting children and families to achieve positive outcomes and prevent escalation to more intensive interventions. You will hold a caseload of children in need, carrying out assessments, planning, and interventions to safeguard and promote welfare.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage a caseload of children subject to Child in Need plans
  • Complete statutory assessments, visits, and care planning
  • Work closely with families to provide early intervention and support
  • Liaise with partner agencies to ensure coordinated service delivery
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with statutory requirements

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualified permanent experience within Children Services
  • Experience working within a Child in Need or safeguarding team
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
