Job Responsibility:
Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals for children and staff
Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and place orders as needed
Manage all aspects of prepping and preparing meals, as well as cleaning and complying with sanitation requirements
This role includes approximately 20 hours per week supporting kitchen operations and 20 hours per week teaching and engaging with children in the classroom
Requirements:
At least 18 years of age with a high school degree or GED required
Relevant experience working in a licensed child care center, public school, or commercial kitchen is required
Food Handlers permit or ServSafe certification according to state/local regulations required
Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements
