Job Description:

A Psychiatric Clinic in downtown Sonoma, CA, is seeking a Board-Certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our founding team. This independent contractor position offers psychiatrists $275 per hour in a direct-pay practice -eliminating insurance hassles and allowing for maximum autonomy in treatment decisions. Our model blends in-person intake days on Mondays and Fridays with tele-psychiatry sessions midweek (Tuesdays–Thursdays), providing families with both accessibility and flexibility. As a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, you’ll deliver compassionate, evidence-based care for youth while working closely with families, schools, and community providers. This role is an opportunity to shape a boutique clinic’s pediatric service line from the ground up, ensuring Sonoma families receive timely, high-quality psychiatric support. This is a contractor position within a private group practice model, providers retain clinical independence while supported by an MSO (Management Services Organization) that handles billing, marketing, patient intake, and administrative functions.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication management sessions
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with patients and families to promote understanding of diagnoses and treatment goals
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the practice EMR
  • Participate in case consultation with practice colleagues, as needed
  • Provide care consistent with current evidence-based practices and professional standards

Requirements:

  • M.D. or D.O. with active, unrestricted California medical license
  • Board Certified in Psychiatry (Child & Adolescent)
  • Active DEA registration
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered, cash-pay outpatient practice model
What we offer:
  • Competitive cash-pay reimbursement rates
  • Flexible scheduling, part-time or full-time available
  • Administrative and marketing support provided through the MSO (no insurance panels, prior auth, or billing headaches)
  • Professional, collaborative, and supportive practice environment
