As the Global Leisure Chief Technology Officer (CTO) you'll be accountable for the end-to-end technology and engineering capability across Global Leisure brands for FCTG, ensuring that platforms, architecture, delivery and operations enable profitable growth, superior customer experiences and sustainable cost to serve. You'll own the technical vision, engineering discipline, technical vendor management, architecture and governance practices for our Global Leisure brands, translating business and product strategy into scalable, secure and commercially effective technology outcomes.
Job Responsibility:
Lead, coach, and scale high-performing engineering leaders and teams across brands, regions, and time zones
Own and evolve the Global Leisure target architecture and architectural standards
Define and execute the Global Leisure technology strategy and technical roadmaps aligned to business and product OKRs
Accountable for delivery execution across Global Leisure engineering initiatives
Establish and enforce technology governance, standards, and decision rights
Partner with Group Technology to ensure platforms are reliable, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective
Own cyber security risk across Global Leisure technology
Own shared platforms and engineering enablement capabilities that accelerate delivery and innovation
Manage and influence engineering and technology budgets
Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior leadership and brand executives
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years senior technology leadership experience, with accountability for multiple engineering teams and senior technical leaders in large-scale B2C or transaction-heavy environments, ideally in travel or adjacent industries
Proven success leading complex, multi-brand, global engineering organisations
Proven experience establishing and operating technology practices, policies, and governance forums covering architecture, engineering standards, delivery discipline, ways of working, and vendor management
A track record of success in fast-paced, action-oriented environments that demand sound judgement, rapid decision-making, and execution under pressure
Strong engineering and architectural background with deep technical credibility
Demonstrated ability to align technology strategy with commercial and customer outcomes
Experience operating in global, matrixed organisations and leveraging low-cost centres of excellence
