Job Description

Our client is a leading casino games provider with its own RGS and back-office platform and is looking for a CTO, to lead technology strategy as the platform scales to meet growing demand. This is not a greenfield project; the platform is live, the roadmap is full, and strong teams are in place. You bring hands-on leadership and deep experience in high-scale iGaming backends to shape the next phase of growth. You will own the architecture and technical direction of the RGS, back office, and integrations, ensuring performance, reliability, and resilience at scale. You will guide and upskill engineering teams, review major designs, strengthen monitoring and security, and drive pragmatic AI adoption where it adds value. This role is remote (global) with relocation not offered; you will collaborate with colleagues across locations in a fast-moving, regulated industry. You will join a fast-growing, globally distributed team driving a platform used by major operator brands. You will tackle real technical problems at scale, mentor teams, and influence product direction in a regulated, data-driven environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Own the architecture and technical direction of the RGS, back office, and integrations, ensuring performance, reliability, and resilience at scale
  • Evolve the platform to support new game types, features, and promotional tools aligned to the product roadmap
  • Lead and mentor the in-house engineering teams, setting high standards for code quality, testing, delivery, and best practices
  • Review major designs and code contributions, guiding teams toward robust and scalable solutions
  • Strengthen monitoring, logging, security, and incident management across all environments
  • Drive continuous improvement through tooling, automation, and pragmatic AI adoption where it creates value

Requirements

  • Senior engineering leadership experience within a product company with live traffic
  • Several years' experience with a casino platform provider or iGaming backend
  • Strong understanding of game aggregation, operator integrations, wallet handling, bonus systems, jackpot mechanics, reporting, and reconciliation across multiple jurisdictions
  • Deep background in backend development, systems architecture, and performance optimisation
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD tooling, and high-availability environments
  • Clear communication skills in English for technical and non-technical audiences
