Leading the definition and execution of the platform's solution architecture, ensuring alignment with both business objectives and enterprise standards
Close collaboration with the Platform business stakeholders and Business Partners, and Digital Global Unit teams, as well as continuous alignment with architects from other platforms to foster cross-platform synergies
Playing a key role in governance forums such as Quarterly Business Reviews, contributing with architectural vision and ensuring that platform initiatives remain aligned with the technological strategy of the EDP group
Actively participating in the design of complex and strategic initiatives, particularly those with transversal impact, while ensuring that demand is properly managed in line with team capacity and budget constraints
Relying on an external team of Solution Architects, ensuring proper team sizing, budget control and initiative allocation
Coordinating architectural practices across local and international teams, promoting alignment with EDP's reference architectures, methodologies, and technologies
Supporting broader organizational processes by contributing to Digital Factory assessments, assigning architects to key initiatives, and assisting in portfolio management activities such as licensing evaluations and RFP development
Driving efficiency and continuous improvement, including identifying opportunities for automation within ways of working, while maintaining a high standard of architectural excellence across the platform
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering, Management or related fields
Proven professional experience in solution architecture within complex, large-scale digital environments, preferably in the energy, utilities, or similarly regulated industries
Demonstrated track record of leading architecture design for cross-functional and cross-platform initiatives, with strong exposure to customer-facing platforms, distributed systems, and integration architectures (e.g., APIs, microservices, cloud-based solutions)
Experience managing and developing teams of architects or senior technical professionals is highly valued, along with the ability to operate effectively in matrixed and international organizations
Prior involvement in strategic programs such as digital transformation, renewable energy solutions (e.g., distributed generation or PPAs), and portfolio or demand management processes is considered a strong advantage
Understanding the energy sector's key needs and challenges across the value chain
Business acumen to drive the definition of successful innovation projects
Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management (internal & external)
Experience in project management, KPI measurement and reporting
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to multitask, think strategically and act tactically
