Job Description:

The Country GM COO role is a senior leadership role, partnering with Country Head of Global Markets to lead operational management and strategic execution for the GM Business.

Job Responsibility:

Has overall responsibility for managing and ensuring the operational continuity and resilience of the internal operations and technology
Is responsible for ensuring that outsourcing is appropriate and can be properly overseen
Must provide management oversight and governance in compliance with Group policies and processes
Must achieve and sustain compliance with Global FCC policies and procedures
Has accountability for ensuring Geographic/Country compliance with all local regulatory and legal requirements
Is accountable to the Country Head of GM, providing leadership in the execution of GM Business Strategies and Initiatives
Is accountable to the Country Head of GM, facilitating and supporting GM top team’s decision making by MI tools, data analytics and stakeholders’ feedback
Is responsible for represent GM to participate in a variety of local and regional management meetings, forums or committees
Is responsible for promoting an open and healthy working environment, a high standard and strong risk control culture in GM and supporting a positive and comprehensive people agenda

Requirements:

Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability of organizational planning and problem solving
Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and rapidly changing priorities
University degree major in Business, Finance or Economics
10+ years’ relative banking experience of business planning and management, risk controls and/or Finance exposure
Sound leadership skills and effective communication skills
Good command of both written and spoken English/Chinese
