Job Description:

The Chief of Staff (CoS) is a critical individual contributor role that combines strategic leadership and operational excellence to be a trusted advisor and leader for their team, requiring either previous experience in a relevant domain or demonstrated aptitude to advise in a new domain.

Job Responsibility:

  • Directing strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership and department heads
  • Acting as a liaison with staff, executives, and senior leaders to manage and deliver project updates, proposals, and planning
  • Supervising daily operations in collaboration with senior managers and department leaders by performing tasks such as generating correspondence, planning, and coordinating departmental activities
  • Assisting executive team members in determining and prioritizing business strategies based on their schedules
  • Cultivating relationships with all employees to enhance the efficiency and responsiveness of existing operations while contributing to developing new operational strategies through collaboration on special projects with executives
  • Serving as a subject-matter expert by handling inquiries, developing action plans, and supporting the preparation and dissemination of communications
  • Enhancing current processes and streamlining organizational procedures for improved efficiency and productivity
  • Providing recommendations to department leaders for improving organizational teamwork through consultation services

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience in program and operational management
  • Experience turning a strategy into executable plans and driving high visibility projects
  • An analytic prowess, drive to support decisions with data, and the ability to make data digestible to varied audiences (big data, financial models, etc.)
  • Experience in diagnosing pain points for teams, moving them to good, and going the extra mile to ensure they are great
