Job Description

As Chief of Staff, North America Operations, you will serve as a trusted strategic partner to the Head of Operations and act as a force multiplier across our manufacturing footprint. This high-impact leadership role is designed for a hands-on, execution-oriented professional who thrives at the intersection of strategy, operations, data, and people. You will help translate vision into execution, elevate operational performance, and build consistency across plants—while reinforcing a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as second-in-command to the Head of Operations and backfill Plant Managers as needed
  • Drive financial and operational KPIs across North America
  • Leverage AI, analytics, dashboards, and visual tools to enable insight-driven decisions
  • Lead Operational Excellence initiatives using Lean, Engineering, and Project Management methodologies
  • Translate ambiguous challenges into actionable solutions
  • Support budgeting, monthly performance reviews, and variance mitigation
  • Coordinate strategic initiatives including mergers and acquisitions
  • Influence cross-functional teams to share best practices and drive sustainable improvements
  • Champion change management and culture-building aligned to a 100% Safe Everywhere mindset
  • Represent RHI Magnesita North America at internal and external forums

Requirements

  • University degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong analytical, systems-thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leaders and teams without direct authority
  • Solid financial acumen, including budgets, capex, and operational cost drivers
