Job Description

We’re looking for a Chief of Staff to our Chief Marketing Officer to help drive focus, execution, and strategic clarity in a fast-moving, hypergrowth tech environment. This role will operate across SF and Stockholm (requires a lot of travel) and plays a critical part in enabling a globally distributed marketing organization. Our CMO is based in San Francisco, and this role exists to extend reach, improve speed of decision-making, and ensure cohesion on the team across the 9-hour time difference. You’ll act as a force multiplier for the CMO — serving as a trusted proxy in EMEA hours, driving alignment, and keeping momentum moving when leadership is offline.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner closely with the CMO to define priorities, goals, and operating rhythms
  • Translate high-level strategy into clear plans, milestones, and measurable outcomes for the marketing org
  • Help build AI-native systems and processes for managing marketing workflow at scale
  • Act as an extension of the CMO during EMEA hours to keep work moving forward
  • Facilitate faster decision-making by triaging issues, escalating thoughtfully, and resolving where appropriate
  • Represent the CMO in meetings and discussions as needed to maintain velocity
  • Prepare clear briefs, updates, and decision memos for the CMO
  • Act as a trusted thought partner and sounding board
  • Own and run key operating mechanisms: team and team leadership meetings, weekly reviews, planning cycles, and retrospectives
  • Create clarity and consistency in communication across a global marketing team
  • Help ensure the team feels aligned, informed, and connected despite geographic separation
  • Lead under-resourced high-priority initiatives
  • Support org design, resourcing, and process improvements as the team scales
  • Synthesize insights and recommendations to support leadership decision-making

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of experience in strategy, operations, consulting, business operations, or startup roles
  • Prior experience in a Chief of Staff, BizOps, or similar leadership support role is a strong plus
  • Experience working with marketing teams is helpful but not required
