The Chief of Staff (CoS) acts as a trusted operator, providing support and advice to the Group CEO. The role functions as a link between the Group CEO and the organisation across business lines, control functions, and geographies, enabling the CEO to operate at maximum effectiveness while maintaining strong governance and alignment with regulatory expectations. In this role, the Chief of Staff must be able to manage a wide variety of topics, ensure the right (re)prioritisation, drive initiatives to closure and provide content ready for communication/presentation and drive forward specific initiatives, representing the Group CEDO in meetings and committees where appropriate. The Chief of Staff must combine strategic foresight, execution discipline, strong communication and stakeholder management, with an understanding of wealth management and asset servicing, regulatory frameworks (e.g. CSSF, EBA), and governance structures. Resilience under pressure, ability think outside the box, sharp mind and fast learner are competences that are essential in this role.
Job Responsibility
Picks up complex banking, regulatory and strategic topics and provides input
Supports the Group CEO in the interactions with the various governance bodies across the organisation and in handling other stakeholders
Provides briefings, analysis, and decision support materials for executive and board-level meetings
Provides support to the Group CEO in the management of the agenda, ensuring priorities are given the right focus and no items fall inadvertently off the table
Acts as program lead for Group CEO-sponsored initiatives and drives these initiatives to closure
Acts as a thought partner to the CEO on strategic priorities, transformation initiatives, and business performance
Requirements
Further professional Education (Masters / Professional qualification)
At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
Background in private banking, financial services or top-tier consulting
Familiar and up-to-date with AI and new developments
Strong execution discipline / project management
Strong analytical skills, able to process and analyse financial and operational data
Highly structured, detail-oriented, and able to operate at both strategic and operational levels
