Job Responsibility:
Build and lead the legal department (up to 10 people) by hiring, setting goals, managing KPIs/OKRs, mentoring, and ensuring quality and deadlines
Oversee the review and negotiation of contracts, creating templates, and managing the contract lifecycle
Provide expert legal support for M&A, real estate development, and financing transactions across multiple jurisdictions
Analyze and select suitable jurisdictions for structuring and optimization, focusing on jurisdictions such as Cyprus, UAE, and BVI
Manage the group’s corporate structure, including necessary reporting and corporate actions for residents and non-residents
Prepare responses to KYC queries and manage relationships with foreign banks and institutions
Ensure the organization's compliance with regulatory frameworks while implementing best practices in legal operations
Engage in high-quality project due diligence and oversee the potential litigation tasks (10% of duties)
Regularly report across all legal workstreams to ensure transparency and accountability
Travel across Europe and the UAE as needed for deal execution and meetings
Requirements:
Higher legal education (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate)
5+ years of experience as Head of Legal or in a senior legal role within a corporate group
Strong knowledge of international law, particularly in multi-segment companies, and cross-border projects
Proven experience with M&A, real estate development, and financing transactions
Familiarity with jurisdictions such as Cyprus, UAE, BVI, as well as France and Austria is preferred
Ability to work with legal-tech platforms, CRM systems, and AI tools
Advanced public speaking skills to handle formal presentations regularly
Strong leadership, communication, and mentorship abilities to motivate and develop staff
Resilience and attention to detail, capable of managing high-pressure situations
Fluency in English (C1 level) and Ukrainian or Russian is preferred
Nice to have:
Familiarity with jurisdictions such as Cyprus, UAE, BVI, as well as France and Austria
Fluency in Ukrainian or Russian
