Job Description:

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is a senior executive responsible for establishing and maintaining the bank’s information security strategy and ensuring that all information assets and technologies are adequately protected. The role includes ensuring compliance with Mexican regulations, mitigating cybersecurity risks, and leading the information security team.

Job Responsibility:

Develop and manage the bank’s information security strategy, policies, and procedures
Ensure compliance with Mexican regulations and international security standards
Identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks
Lead incident response protocols and reporting
Promote a culture of security awareness through training programs
Evaluate and implement advanced security systems and practices
Manage the security posture of third-party vendors
Lead and support the information security team.

Requirements:

Deep understanding of the regulatory environment in Mexico, including compliance with the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV) regulations and other relevant financial regulations
Expertise in Information Security international standards
Experience in defining Security Suite system strategy and evolution
Proven ability to ensure stability, resilience, and soundness of platforms
Strong leadership and team mentoring skills.

Nice to have:

Experience with advanced security systems and technologies like authentication systems, data security, endpoint security, and cloud security
Familiarity with Banxico, CNBV guidelines, and LFPDPPP legislation
Expertise in cybersecurity risk management
Incident response experience
Knowledge of security architecture innovation.
