Job Description:

Chief Information Officer role for International Wealth and Premiere Banking Insurance, responsible for managing the Insurance technology estate and driving business strategy across the Global Insurance business with focus on Asia. The role oversees an estate of over 200 Application instances and approximately 800 FTE's, delivering technology solutions across multiple insurance value streams including individual life, group life, employee benefits and wellness solutions.

Job Responsibility:

Manage Insurance technology estate within IWPB Technology
Drive business strategy across Insurance agenda for Global Insurance business
Deliver technology strategy supporting business growth across Insurance Value stream
Provide oversight for service management and customer impacting issues
Improve operational resilience
Drive Change Quality and Delivery Agility using DevOps adoption
Manage IT Controls Compliance, Audit Compliance and Risks
Regulatory reporting
Partner with Insurance COOs and business heads
Manage global insurance technology delivery capabilities across manufacturing and distribution markets
Sponsor Agile and DevOps principles
Ensure HSBC Insurance Technology deliverables align with Architecture framework model
Demonstrate leadership on regulatory and compliance matters
Manage Insurance Technology people change and restructuring

Requirements:

Exceptional ability to lead across CEO and COO business stakeholders
Outstanding understanding of Insurance platforms and their capabilities
Blend of business and digital savvy
Strong commercial orientation and understanding of digital trends impacting Insurance & IWPB business
Strong understanding of technology landscape including Technology and business architectures
Ability to set clear strategic direction
Experience working across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural diverse work environments
Ability to ensure High Levels of Service Availability
Proven track record in delivery of Insurance products/services
Proactive and resilient with ability to navigate complex organization problems
Strong understanding of bancassurance/wealth environment and Insurance, wealth and private banking products
Cost reduction and P&L experience
Expert in Agile ways of working
Management responsibility of multiple teams through subordinate managers
Ability to create business plans and contribute to strategy
High level communication skills with sensitivity to audience
