Job Description:

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for leading all aspects of HSBC Indonesia's technology agenda, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with governance standards. The role involves advising senior business stakeholders, managing IT budgets, driving innovation, and overseeing service delivery. This position requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and partnership with both local and regional teams to execute strategy effectively within complexity.

Job Responsibility:

Lead all Technology teams in HSBC Indonesia and collaborate with the board on all technology matters
Partner and advise business heads on technology decisions
Ensure delivery of IT services in Indonesia
Oversee change portfolio for Indonesia and ensure value assessment
Lead IT specialists applying Group Standards
Manage operational risks and controls
Innovate from a technological perspective within Indonesia
Ensure governance and compliance with HSBC standards
Manage IT budgets and planning to support technology needs
Govern and report Indonesia IT team's performance metrics
Align technology decisions with regulatory requirements and personal data laws
Cultivate and maintain relationships between business lines and IT
Drive GB/GF change programmes and align them with Indonesian goals
Oversee Agile and DevOps adoption in Indonesia to meet functional goals

Requirements:

Proven ability to articulate complex issues concisely, suitable for all levels across the HSBC group
Gravitas and ability to interact with and coach senior executives
Outstanding relationship management and influencing skills
Practical experience in the leadership and management of an engineering function most focused on the delivery of operations technologies
Strong interpersonal skills – ability to influence, lead and drive teams to deliver
Demonstrate good judgement and a high level of communication skills to achieve effective stakeholder management
Knowledge of technology and technology trends, and the ability to provide technology consultancy to senior business heads
Experience in planning and managing significant expenditure in a complex organization
Ability to work in a complex, matrix organization
Ability to balance the needs of the business, technology, Group, and staff
Successful relationship management including senior stakeholder management and regulators
Strong communicator with the ability to adapt delivery as appropriate for various audiences
