The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and serves as a critical member of the executive leadership team. The CFO will be responsible for the overall financial strategy, planning, reporting, and operations of the company. This individual will ensure financial health, regulatory compliance, and strategic growth by leading a high-performing finance and accounting team. This role requires extensive experience in the manufacturing sector.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with company goals
Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and capital planning efforts
Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and executive team
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP and applicable regulations
Maintain and enhance internal financial controls and compliance systems
Analyze manufacturing costs and implement process improvements to drive profitability
Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and operational integrity
Assess and mitigate financial, operational, and market risks
Oversee cash management, investments, and debt strategies to ensure financial flexibility and liquidity
Manage banking relationships and investor communications
Support capital raising, debt refinancing, and equity-related initiatives
Represent the company in investor meetings as requested by the CEO
Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team (5+ direct reports)
Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Direct tax planning, compliance, and strategy to minimize liabilities and ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 10 years in leadership roles
Direct experience in the manufacturing industry is required
Demonstrated success in managing financial operations within a complex, growth-oriented organization
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, and compliance practices
Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial ERP systems
Nice to have:
MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Finance or Business
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
IATR Certification is a plus
