We’re partnering with a respected and growing non-profit organization in the Long Beach area seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape financial strategy, strengthen operations, and help drive sustainable growth while supporting a meaningful mission. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to optimize performance, ensure compliance, and position the organization for long-term success.
Job Responsibility:
Provide executive leadership across finance, including General Accounting and Revenue Cycle functions
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams aligned with organizational values and goals
Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations and balance sheet integrity
Deliver monthly financial insights and recommendations to improve performance and internal controls
Partner with leadership to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans
Lead the audit process and ensure timely completion of audited financial statements
Develop and refine financial models to support key strategic decisions
Monitor KPIs and financial metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership and the board
Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and partners
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within the non-profit sector
Proven expertise in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting
Strong skills in developing and managing complex financial models
Experience in overseeing audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
Ability to manage corporate financial planning and ensure alignment with organizational goals
Proficiency in revenue cycle management, including billing and reconciliation processes
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across teams
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
advanced degree or certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred
