Are you a mission-driven finance leader ready to make a lasting impact? We’re partnering with a respected and growing non-profit organization in the Long Beach area seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape financial strategy, strengthen operations, and help drive sustainable growth while supporting a meaningful mission. You’ll work closely with senior leadership to optimize performance, ensure compliance, and position the organization for long-term success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide executive leadership across finance, including General Accounting and Revenue Cycle functions
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams aligned with organizational values and goals
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Manage general ledger activities, including reconciliations and balance sheet integrity
  • Deliver monthly financial insights and recommendations to improve performance and internal controls
  • Partner with leadership to develop annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term strategic plans
  • Lead the audit process and ensure timely completion of audited financial statements
  • Develop and refine financial models to support key strategic decisions
  • Monitor KPIs and financial metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership and the board
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and partners

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial leadership roles, preferably within the non-profit sector
  • Proven expertise in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting
  • Strong skills in developing and managing complex financial models
  • Experience in overseeing audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations
  • Ability to manage corporate financial planning and ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Proficiency in revenue cycle management, including billing and reconciliation processes
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
