An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute and strategically minded Chief Financial Officer to join a well-established, family-run business, now recognised internationally as a leader in the whitegoods industry. With award-winning products sold in over 20 countries and exports accounting for 50% of revenue, the business is driving significant growth and creating an increasing number of jobs in the UK. Following recent private equity investment, the business is entering an ambitious phase of expansion. This is a rare chance to shape the finance function of a highly entrepreneurial, investor-backed organisation and play a pivotal role in delivering both strategic and operational objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Act as a member of the leadership team, influencing business strategy and executing ambitious growth plans
Work closely with the CEO and management team to drive commercial initiatives and capital allocation decisions
Align and structure the finance function, processes, and tools to ensure transparent, fact-based control of all financial aspects
Build financial models, oversee budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support business planning and investor requirements
Monitor cash, capital, and investment funding to ensure optimal use of resources
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, audits, and tax matters
Maintain effective internal controls and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
Manage relationships with accounting partners and external advisors
Implement robust risk management strategies to mitigate key business risks
Ensure governance frameworks are in place covering Legal, HR, Tax, Internal Audit, Compliance, GDPR, etc
Lead finance activities across Procurement, Treasury, Tax, IR, and M&A
Build strong relationships with investors, board members, and third-party stakeholders
Build and develop a high-calibre finance team, promoting talent development initiatives and ensuring the team can scale with the business
Requirements:
Solid track record in managing finance functions while driving growth and change, ideally in investor-backed or international product-based businesses
Early career in accounting, with experience in commercial and strategic finance
Experienced in financial analysis, forecasting, and operational planning, with the ability to balance governance with business partnership
Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to lead by example and manage multiple priorities in a small, dynamic team
Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, capable of building relationships across all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives, manage M&A activity, and implement robust financial and operational controls
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
Masters preferred
Professional accounting or finance qualification desirable
Experience delivering a full private equity cycle
International business experience and exposure to product-based operations advantageous

Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and tactical implementation skills
