Chief Financial Officer

• Lead and manage all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local financial regulations, as well as audit and reporting requirements
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational effectiveness and financial integrity
• Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, providing financial insight to support organizational goals and long-term planning
• Oversee risk management initiatives, identifying, monitoring, and mitigating financial and operational risks
• Direct and manage internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Collaborate with executive leadership and external stakeholders to align financial strategy with organizational priorities
• Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting team members, promoting accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
• Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational and financial optimization
• Leverage financial systems and technology to streamline processes and enhance reporting and decision-making capabilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• a Master’s degree or a detail oriented certification such as CPA is required
• At least ten years of progressively responsible financial management experience, including senior leadership roles
• Proven expertise in governmental or tribal finance, audit compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, GASB, federal grant regulations, and internal controls
• Valid Washington State driver’s license and a driving record that meets organizational standards
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and criminal background checks, including State and National history checks
• Experience working with vulnerable populations, including adults and children

Familiarity with the history, customs, and traditions of the local community is preferred
